Maggard breaks his own record in 5,000 meters

Dillon Maggard

Utah State University senior Dillon Maggard — a Lake Washington High alumnus — broke his own school record in the 5,000-meter race by 11 seconds at the Stanford-hosted Payton Jordan invitational last weekend, as he finished in 13:30.02 to place fourth among collegiate athletes and 15th overall. His time is the fourth-fastest in the NCAA this season, the fastest in the Mountain West by 10 seconds and the second fastest in MW history.
