LW softball defeats Liberty; Mercer Island baseball edges Kangs

Lake Washington softball beat Liberty, 12-2, on Friday.

Tori Bivens had four hits, including a homer, and three RBIs. Emma Rosendal had three hits and one RBI, Anna Robinson had two hits and three RBIs and pitcher Jane Wilson earned the win.

• In baseball, Mercer Island beat LW, 4-3, on Friday.

LW led 3-1 after one inning and held on until Mercer Island tallied three runs in the top of the seventh.

For LW, Joey Wishart had two hits and one RBI and Alex Lyon had one hit and two RBIs.
