LW, Juanita score softball victories

Lake Washington and Juanita’s softball squads notched victories on May 3.

LW defeated Mercer Island, 11-0, behind the pitching and hitting of Tori Bivens, who got the win and struck out 11 batters along with getting three hits, including a triple. Marissa Ewald and Anastasia Kotsakis hammered homers.

For Juanita, the Rebels downed Bellevue, 11-2, behind the hitting of Lexi Blackburn (two hits, including a homer, and three RBIs), Sasha Mitchell (three hits, two RBIs), Brynn Radke (two hits) and Abbie Reynolds (three hits, two RBIs). Pitcher Megan Murray earned the victory.
