LW, Juanita runners are set for 3A state meet

Lake Washington and Juanita will send a combined five runners to this Saturday’s 3A state cross country championships at Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco.

For LW, Colton Bailey, Chloe Cook and Belle Brandenfels will run along with Juanita’s Laura Benson and Felicity Strzelec.

All five qualified for state at the 3A Sea-King District 2 meet on Oct. 25 at Lower Woodland in Seattle.

On the boys’ side, Bailey was 11th (16:39.60), and for the girls, Benson was 23rd (20:07.40), Strzelec was 24th (20:10.80), Cook was 29th (20:18.20) and Brandenfels was 31st (20:19.70).
