Lake Washington powers past Juanita, 8-7, in softball action

Lindsay Allan and Anastasia Kotsakis homered to help blast Lake Washington past Juanita, 8-7, in 3A KingCo softball action on May 2.

Juanita led 4-2 after two innings before LW scored three runs in the third to take a 5-4 advantage. LW built an 8-4 lead after five innings and Juanita powered back with three in the sixth.

For LW, Abigail Mills had three hits, including two doubles; Maliena Carelli had three hits and three RBIs; and Morgan Hasselbalch earned the win from the circle.

On the Juanita side, Sasha Mitchell knocked two hits, including a homer, and had four RBIs; and Jordan Schroeder, Lauren Moreau and Megan Murray had two hits apiece. Moreau also had two RBIs.
