Lake Washington High state champion dance team to host competition

The Lake Washington High School dance team will host an interscholastic dance competition on Nov. 10 at Lake Washington High School.

The competition marks the beginning of the competitive season and will feature performances by 14 regional high schools.

This year’s LW team is led by seniors Maddie Burns and Sophie Crane and juniors Malia Berbano and Arisa Brown; coached by Lindsey Ryan, Jeanne Wehr, Jennifer Hahn and Michelle Coon.

The event is open to the public in the Lake Washington High School gym, 12033 N.E. 80th St., Kirkland. Ticket sales begin at 10 a.m., doors open at 11:30 a.m. and the competition begins at noon. Ticket cost is $10 or $5 for students with an ASB card with proceeds benefiting the Lake Washington Dance Team Booster Club.
