Lake Washington defeats Juanita in boys hoops; local girls squads face off tonight

Torin Montgomery amassed 15 points and 17 rebounds to lead Lake Washington to a 63-44 boys basketball victory over Juanita on Tuesday night. Evan Liggett had 12 points, three assists and three steals and Nick Strausburg had 10 points and five rebounds for the Kangs.

LW evened its 2A/3A KingCo record to 3-3 and 7-7 overall and Juanita dropped to 1-5 in league and 5-9 overall.

On Friday, Interlake will host LW at 8 p.m. and Bellevue will host Juanita at 8 p.m.

In girls’ action tonight, LW will host Juanita at 7:15 p.m. Both squads are atop the league with 4-1 records and are each 7-6 overall.

On Friday, Interlake will host LW at 6:30 p.m. and Bellevue will host Juanita at 6:30 p.m.
