Juanita softball to play West Seattle on Thursday

Juanita defeated Holy Names, 10-5, to stay alive in the 3A SeaKing District tournament on Tuesday.

At the Southeast Athletic Complex in Seattle, the Rebels slugged 11 hits in the loser-out contest. Garfield beat Juanita, 2-1, earlier in the day.

Juanita will take on West Seattle at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Southwest Athletic Complex in West Seattle in a loser-out, winner-to-state matchup.

Against Holy Names, Abbie Reynolds had three hits and one RBI, Kaci Gordon had two hits and three RBIs, Briar Swayne had two hits and one RBI, Lexi Blackburn had one hit and two RBIs, Jordan Schroeder had one hit and two RBIs, Lauren Moreau had an RBI single and Megan Murray doubled.

In the Garfield game, Blackburn homered.
