Juanita softball beat Bellevue, 8-7, on Friday and advances to the 3A SeaKing District tournament on Tuesday.

The Rebels will play at 6 p.m. versus Bishop Blanchet at the Southeast Athletic Complex in Seattle.

Lexi Blackburn hammered a grand slam and Kristina Warford also homered for Juanita against Bellevue.

“We are extremely excited about postseason play and are continuing to hit the ball hard and play defense,” said coach Traci Odegard. “We have battled some tough teams throughout the season, and we are continuing to improve and get better at the right time. Our pitchers are doing their job, and our defense is continuing to get stronger. As I tell my team, ‘Defense will win games.’”
