Crossfire Select team O’Melia 02 Boys get to semifinals in New Balance International Cup

Crossfire Select team O’Melia B02 with players from Kirkland and Bothell made it to the New Balance International Cup semifinals in Huddersfield, England this month.

The boys won their group stage against London’s Pro Elite Football Academy and squads from Nigeria and England. They were defeated in the semifinal game by Scottish team Currie Star. The team is made up of boys from Bellevue, Redmond, Sammamish, Duval, Issaquah, Kirkland and Bothell.

The team also had training and scrimmage experiences at St. George’s Park with the English Football Association Academy, Fulham FC and Bedfont Sports Club.

The team completed the English football tour with six matches, four training sessions and attending three professional matches and two English Premier League stadium tours in 12 days.
