The Lake Washington boys basketball team lost to Wilson, 57-33, Wednesday during the first round of the state tournament at the Tacoma Dome.
The loss drops the Kangs (14-7) into the consolation bracket and a 12:30 p.m. loser-out game Thursday against Lincoln High School (13-8) at the Tacoma Dome.
Lake Washington fell behind during the first half thanks to an anemic offense. The Kangs went into half time down 24-13. The Rams increased their lead to 18 points during the third quarter and never looked back.
Lincoln lost to Walla Walla (17-3), 55-49 Wednesday during the first round. The loss means that Lake Washington will continue playing to finish as high as fifth in state.
