Lake Washington girls lose to Woodinville

The Lake Washington girls basketball team took on league leading Woodinville Friday at home and came away with a tough 64-47 loss. The Kangs kept the game close during the first quarter, trailing by just one point. But the second quarter would belong to Woodinville, outscoring the home team by 10 points. Lake Washington never recovered, struggling to keep pace through the final 16 minutes of play.
Sam Brender (16 points) and Hunter Hopkins (13) led the Kangs’ offense.
The loss drops Lake Washington back to .500 with a 5-5 record. The Kangs will host the Garfield Bulldogs Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
