Lake Washington took two contests from the Indians during the 4A KingCo tournament Wednesday to advance to the state tournament.

The Kangs received a clutch bottom of the seventh base hit by Nikki Spangler to beat the Indians 3-2 on Wednesday, and then won Friday's game 6-5 to qualify for state.

Lake Washington also earned a 10-0 victory against Newport Tuesday, but lost to Bothell 4-3 during the semifinals. The Kangs will take on Auburn Riverside at 11 a.m. on Friday during the first round of the state playoffs at SERA Fields in Tacoma.
