Lake Washington boys basketball finishes fifth in state

The Lake Washington High School boys basketball team finished fifth in state Saturday at the Sun Dome in Yakima. The Kangs lost to Anacortes, 56-48, during the game to finish third.

Lake Washington got off to a good start Saturday, opening up the game with a 15-10 lead during the first quarter.

But the Kangs lost control of the game during the second quarter, being outscored 12-6 and losing the lead by halftime.

Anacortes maintained control of the game during the second half, as Lake Washington struggled to control the tempo and cut into the deficit.

Kelly Guy led Lake Washington in scoring during the game with 15 points, while Drew Heimdahl finished with 13 and Quentin Moore had 10.
