Slow first quarter sinks Kangs against Bellevue | Prep boys basketball

A slow start for the Lake Washington High School boys basketball team against Bellevue resulted in a 53-41 loss at home Tuesday.

Bellevue jumped out to a 21-9 lead during the first eight minutes of play. Lake Washington kept pace during the rest of the game but never cut very far into the Wolverines’ lead.

Lake Washington was led by Jeff Staudacher with 13 points and Jamal Muhammad with 11.
