Rebels advance in tournament, beat Idaho team | Prep girls basketball

The Juanita High School girls basketball team defeated Lake City of Idaho Saturday, 60-44, to advance in the Rebel Challenge basketball tournament.

The Juanita defense smothered the team from Idaho during the first quarter, holding Lake City to just four points. The teams played close during the second period but it was the third quarter when the Rebels pulled away, building a 46-21 lead.

Juanita was led by Tea Adams with 20 points and Shalexxus Aaron and Jaissa Nunn with 12 points each.
