Juanita volleyball completes comeback against Saints

September 28, 2012 · 9:21 AM

The Juanita High School volleyball team earned a big road victory Thursday at Interlake, 3-2. The Rebels overcame a 2-1 deficit during the match.

The Rebels began the match slow, only scoring 16 points during the first game. Juanita then dominated the second game with a 25-17 win to tie the match.

But the team was unable to maintain that momentum, losing the third game to Interlake 25-16. The Rebels got hot during the last game and tiebreaker, blistering the ball and outscoring the Saints 40-24.

Rebel Sarah Brennan led the team with 23 kills while teammate Jade Finau had 38 assists and three aces.
