LW golf beats Liberty by 60 strokes

The Lake Washington High School boys golf team defeated Liberty by 60 strokes Thursday on the Bellevue Golf Course. The Kangs grabbed all six top scoring spots for the day, as they completed the meet in 191 strokes, compared to 241 for the Patriots on the par 35 course.

Lake Washington’s Steve Hopkins was the overall winner, shooting a two-over 37. Teammate Josh Parker finished the day with 39 strokes for second overall, while Kang Nathan Aschbacher was just one stroke back with 40. Lake Washington’s Seth Somers placed fourth with a 41, while Kangs Kieran Doyle and Pete Chautavipat each shot a 42 to tie for fifth.
