Keep Kirkland Reporter local news only

I read the Kirkland Reporter cover to cover for local news about Kirkland. I read the New York Times and the Seattle Times for national and regional news and opinions. I think that mixing national news and opinions in a local paper is bad press. Why would I want to read someone’s opinion on national news in my neighborhood paper? I read the Reporter to see if the Kirkland Wednesday Market is open, not what some person thinks of national health care or the war in Iraq. It just seems inappropriate. It’s lovely to post editorial opinions from our locals but only if it’s relevant to Kirkland. If I got to be the Queen of Kirkland for a day (tiara and all), I would ask the wonderful editor of the Reporter to keep our paper Strictly Local News - SLN only!
