Support same-sex marriage and condemn bigotry | LETTER

July 20, 2012 · Updated 4:34 PM

This response is from a response to a letter submitted by Mr. Joseph Saromines, Kirkland. My prayer is for all the people who do not understand that No. 1: it is none of our business how people love other people of either gender. No. 2: how people love in relationships should not include what others believe. (Keeping religion out of this civil law) and most of all, No. 3: Homosexuals of either kind do not “choose” how to be - they are made that way by God.

There is now scientific evidence that where sexual preference originates, homosexuals and heterosexuals are physically different. So what does that mean? Homosexual preference is not a perversion or a bad choice, but an appropriate behavior for someone created that way. It is not for us to judge.  So here we are with people loving other people and they are not allowed to marry. The society is ending up with couples living together without the appropriate benefits of marriage. This is a hardship imposed by spirit of bigotry. I support same-sex marriage and condemn bigotry.
