JANICE CAROL JAMES

Janice Carol James was born September 24, 1942 in Seattle, Washington to Robert A. Linn and Elaine M. (Soderlund) Linn Larimore and passed away peacefully at her home on July 31, 2018 in Nehalem, Oregon at the age of 75.

Janice grew up in Kirkland, Washington and graduated from Lake Washington High School. She moved to Oregon in 1979 and worked as a library assistant and later for Tuality Hospital in the dietary department where she met Pat James. They fell in love and married on April 12, 1986.

Janice loved to knit, fish, camp and read. She was a devoted fan of the Portland Trailblazers. She had a passion for the ocean and their retirement home in Nehalem.

Janice and Pat founded True Hope Christian Fellowship and avidly participated in the church until her health prevented her from traveling to the church in Forest Grove.

Janice is survived by her five daughters; Shelley Gaviglio and Roger Marley of North Bend, WA, Cheryl Seaton and husband Kenneth of Sammamish, WA, Kris Brown and husband Rodney of Renton, WA, Susy Michel and husband Matt of Maple Valley, WA, and Sally McDonald and Bob Holt of Dillon, MT; two stepsons; Mitch James and wife Sandee of Forest Grove, OR, and Steve James of Sherwood, OR; and one brother Denny Linn and wife Laurie of Stanwood, WA. She loved her family very much which included fifteen grandchildren.

Janice was preceded in death by her husband Pat James on June 18, 2018.

A celebration of life will be held on August 19, 2018 at Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Bellevue, Washington at 2 pm. Her final resting place will be at the Nehalem American Legion Cemetery on the Oregon Coast.

Memorial contributions may be made to the True Hope Christian Fellowship Church in Forest Grove.
