George Price

George Price a longtime Kirkland resident passed away peacefully at home on July 18, 2009. He was born in Oakpark, IL in 1921. After graduating from high school, George joined the CCC and then served in the US Army during WWII. He married his beautiful bride Edna in 1947 in Miami, FL and soon afterwards they moved to the Pacific NW where they raised their 5 children. George owned and operated PRICE ROOFING CO for 15 years until he retired in 1980.George loved to fish! He won several fishing derbies over the years. He always knew where the “hot spots” were. Whether it was fishing on opening day at Cottage Lake with his kids on a crowded dock or in Puget Sound at “ Point No Point” with his best fishing buds Gren and Casey, BIG ÿ sh were always being caught!George had several dear-to-his-heart treasured friends, that he met many years ago at Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church, and many new friendships at All Saints Lutheran Church in Bellevue. His greatest pleasures in life were his family and friends, gardening (specializing his fragrant sweet peas), wood crafting for gift giving or selling in the local senior centers, and reading every day from his Bible.George is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Edna, his sons George C. Price and John Price: daughters Pauline Skogmo (Steve), Jeannie Sparks (Guy) and Joan Price, grandchildren Paul, Michelle, Lindsay, Christine, Stuart, Adam and Amanda and four great-grandchildren. George will be greatly missed by everyone. He was truly the BEST Husband and Father.Rest in Peace dear Georgie, you are with your Lord now.LOVE, YOUR FAMILY
