CHARLES ROGER NICKLETT

April 3, 1944 – April 6, 2019

Charles Roger Nicklett was born April 3, 1944, in Los Angeles, California.

Chuck moved to Chico, CA when very young and spent his childhood there and in neighboring Oroville. At about 13, Chuck and his family moved to Stockton, CA. In high school, Chuck played on the varsity tennis team, ran on the Cross-Country team, and enjoyed class work, friendships and DeMolay. He also had a newspaper delivery route. After graduation, Chuck received an Associate of Arts degree at his local community college. He earned a living by driving taxis and working construction jobs.

Recently, Chuck enjoyed many hobbies, including stamp collecting, shopping, brass figurine collecting, playing pool at the Kirkland Senior Center and trying out various restaurants.

Chuck was a man of faith. Most recently he worshiped at Aldersgate Methodist Church.

He is survived by his sister, Susan Godsell of New Port Richey, Florida; a brother, Gary, of Lake Tapps, Washington; three nieces, Erica, Natalie and Emily and one nephew, Zachary.

He will be greatly missed by family and friends, including his best friend of many years, David Christy, of Seattle, Washington.

Services will be held on Friday, May 24, 2019 at precisely 10:00 a.m., at Barton Family Funeral Service, at 11630 Slater Avenue NE, Kirkland, Washington.

He will be inurned in the columbarium of Kirkland Cemetery, located at the corner of NE 80th Street and 120th Avenue.In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Heart Association.
