Unwelcome guests: At 5:21 a.m. in the 7800 block of 132nd Avenue Northeast, caller reported someone was watching her house and sent people into her home. She added that she was going to purchase a gun and shoot anyone who entered residence illegally.

Jan. 3

Stolen vehicle: At 6:51 a.m. in the 12600 block of Northeast 144th Street, a caller reported their vehicle had been stolen outside their apartment. The victim had left the vehicle, a Honda Civic, running to warm up before work.

Hurt bushes: At 7:15 p.m. someone hit a tree on State Street South with their vehicle and rolled through landscaping area, damaging bushes. The driver fled. There was no suspect info. The victim was asked to check with other residences about possible witness or video.

Smelly person: At 12:32 p.m. in the 12000 block of Northeast 134th Place, a woman reported she was using her restroom and could smell a foul smell coming from outside the bathroom. She believed that a homeless person may have snuck inside her home. When she left the restroom she observed that nothing was missing or disturbed. The back door was found open, but the lock is faulty.

Pet frustration: At 6:50 p.m., in the 11700 block of Northeast 118th Street, a pet owner called to vocalize their frustration with requirements to show vet records that their dog was spayed and had up-to-date rabies vaccines for a Kirkland pet license.

Jan. 4

No refund: At 9:06 a.m., in the 7100 block of Northeast 123nd Lane, a caller reported that they were renting a condo in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada for the new year and the owners of the condo cancelled without refunding their money. The victim lost $1,400 through PayPal.
