Police detectives arrested a Kirkland man after seizing 370 marijuana plants in a drug raid on his Kirkland home on Sept. 22.

Police detectives arrested a Kirkland man after seizing 370 marijuana plants in a drug raid on his Kirkland home on Sept. 22.

The street value of the plants is estimated to be about $300,000, according to Kirkland Police Department spokesperson Lt. Rob Saloum.

Prosecutors have levied fellony drug charges against the man in connection to the incident for illegally growing the plants with the intent to distribute.

Kirkland police detectives obtained search warrants and raided the home, located in the 13500 block of 93rd Ave. NE, at 8:15 a.m. after neighbors complained about a strong smell of marijuana emanating from the home, according to Kirkland police.

“The Kirkland Police Department would like to thank those residents who notified us of the suspicious activity for taking ownership of their community and for working in partnership with their police department to fight crime,” Saloum said in a release. “The Kirkland Police Department is committed to community policing and working with our citizens to promote a safer Kirkland.”
