Man walks into a bar, punches bartender in the nose | Police blotter for May 19-24

Wednesday, May 24

Theft: Police responded to a theft from a business in the 12400 block of Northeast 124th Street. A man entered the store and ran out with some merchandise. A store employee followed the suspect outside and fired shots at the fleeing vehicle. The vehicle left the area but has since been located and recovered. The suspect is still outstanding. Detectives are conducting the investigation.

Violation order: At 1:56 a.m., police observed a man and woman in the same vehicle together in the 14300 block of 124th Avenue Northeast. The woman had a no-contact order against the man and he was arrested for violating that order.

Monday, May 22

Warrant arrest: At 8:30 p.m., a 36-year-old woman was arrested on a warrant out of Kitsap County for driving under the influence.

Sunday, May 21

A man walks into a bar: At 8:47 p.m., a 30-year-old man entered a bar in the 12700 block of Northeast 124th Street and punched the bartender in the nose. The suspect then placed the bartender in a headlock before customers could restrain him. He was upset because the bartender had slept with his girlfriend. The bartender did not press charges but the suspect was still making threats. He was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Theft: At 7:46 p.m., a 24-year-old man attempted to steal $76.95 in store property from a business in the 9800 block of Northeast 132nd Street. He was stopped by loss prevention as he exited the store. The man was arrested for third degree theft and following a search, was found to have 0.09 grams of methamphetamine on his person.

Warrant arrest: A 28-year-old man was seen and recognized at a bus stop. He was found to have a felony warrant out of the King County Sheriff’s Office for residential burglary and trafficking stolen property. He was arrested and transported to King County Jail.

Warrant arrest: At 9:38 a.m., a 36-year-old man was contacted by police in the 14500 block of 127th Avenue Northeast. He was found to have a felony warrant out for trafficking stolen property, arrested and transported to King County Jail.

Saturday, May 20

Warrant arrests: At 9:25 a.m., police made a traffic stop in the 11100 block of 124th Avenue Northeast. There were four individuals inside the vehicle and the officer learned that all three passengers had warrants out for various charges, including assault and order violations. All three were arrested. The driver was not arrested.

Friday, May 19

Burglary and then some: At around 9 p.m., officers responded to a commercial alarm in the 12800 block of Willows Road Northeast. They located a 48-year-old man inside a closed business. The man admitted to breaking a glass door to enter the building and then breaking a window with a fire extinguisher.

Warrant arrest: A 36-year-old man was arrested at 8:10 a.m. in the 14400 block of 124th Avenue Northeast. He was found to have a $25,000 warrant out of Bothell for driving with a suspended license.
