The Kirkland Civil Service Commission has one adult vacancy for an unexpired term ending Dec. 31, 2018. The Civil Service Commission is required by law and oversees the hiring and discipline of city police and fire personnel. The commission meets the second Tuesday of each month at 4 p.m. This position is open until filled.

The Kirkland Park Board has one youth vacancy for an unexpired term ending March 31, 2017. The board advises the City Council on matters relating to parks, recreation and community services. The board meets the second Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. This position is open until filled.
