Kirkland City Council seeks qualified applicants for Position No. 2 vacancy

The Kirkland City Council called for letters of interest and resumes from qualified persons seeking appointment to Council Position No. 2 during its Nov. 15 meeting.

The Kirkland City Council called for letters of interest and resumes from qualified persons seeking appointment to Council Position No. 2 during its Nov. 15 meeting.

The position will be vacated by the resignation of Shelley Kloba who was elected as State Representative for Legislative District 1 on Nov. 8.

To be eligible, applicants must have been a resident of Kirkland for at least one year and must be a King County registered voter.

The letter and resume must be received by the City Clerk by 4 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8, either in person at City Hall (123 5th Ave.) or via email (kanderson@kirklandwa.gov).

A Council committee consisting of Councilmembers Dave Asher, Toby Nixon and Penny Sweet was appointed to review the submissions and make recommendations to the full Council for consideration at their Dec. 13 special meeting.
