Law enforcement endorses Haistings for 45th District
Local and statewide law enforcement organizations have endorsed Kevin Haistings for State Representative in the 45th District. Haistings is running in the 45th Legislative District against Rep. Roger Goodman - D.
Among those offering their support, Sergeant Richard F. O'Neill, president of the Seattle Police Officer’s Guild, said “The Seattle Police Officer’s Guild is proud to endorse Kevin Haistings for the state legislature. Kevin has dedicated his life as a public servant and will bring that spirit of service to Olympia. Kevin’s working class values will be a valuable asset in the Legislature.”
Jack L. Simington, the National Trustee to the Washington State Fraternal Order of Police said of their endorsement, “We do not make or give our endorsement lightly and we have a written policy of supporting incumbent candidates with a proven record of supporting issues concerning law enforcement officers and their families. However, we feel confident Kevin will do that, and look forward to a long and lasting support of his efforts in Olympia.”
Haistings public safety endorsements include: The Council of Metropolitan Police and Sheriffs, Washington Council of Police and Sheriffs, the King County Police Officer’s Guild, and the Seattle Police Management Association.
Haistings is a 25-year law enforcement veteran and a sergeant with the Seattle Police Department. Married to his wife Kimberly for 24 years, they raised their two sons in Carnation.
