Andy Hill received the endorsement of former Kirkland mayor and Democratic State Rep. Deb Eddy, adding another bipartisan endorsement in the lead-up to the Nov. 4 election.

“I am happy to endorse Andy Hill for re-election,” said Eddy. “He’s been an example of bipartisan leadership that gets results for Eastside families and is a reliable ally on women’s health issues.”

Hill has received a broad, bipartisan group of endorsements from labor (SEIU 775) to small business (NFIB), education advocates (Stand for Children) to police and fire (Washington Council of Police and Sheriffs). Hill forged a bipartisan record in the legislature, writing and passing a budget with the most bipartisan vote total in 64 years. A bipartisan group of local leaders and city councilmembers from across the district also support Hill’s re-election.

Hill, a PTA dad and soccer coach with deep roots in the community, was first elected in 2010 and is currently Chairman of the Senate Ways and Means Committee and a member of the Senate Early Learning and K-12 Committee. His leadership increased funding for K-12 education, stopped college tuition increases, and provided services for thousands of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Hill is a former Microsoft manager and Harvard Business School graduate. He lives in Redmond with his wife and three children.
