Aegis Living, with communities in Kirkland and Bothell, has announced a unique way to thank its workers across the Western United States. Aegis Living will give away $50,000 in cash rewards to lucky long-term employees. Aegis Living CEO and founder Dwayne Clark wanted to show employees that loyalty and commitment are valued. The longer an employee has been employed at Aegis Living the more chance he or she has to win.

Fifteen lucky employees will each win a cash prize of $1,000. One lucky employee will win a grand prize of $35,000.

“Everyone wants to hit that one big score,” Clark said. “We wanted to do something that is fun and also shows how much we value loyalty. Plus, this could really help an Aegis Living worker’s family.”

Aegis Living employees must be employed with the company for a minimum of three full years as of July 31, 2015 to be eligible. The longer employees have been employed the more chances they have to win. The number of continuous years an employee has worked for Aegis Living will increase their chances of winning. An employee qualifies and gets one lottery ticket if he/she has worked at Aegis Living for three years. Tickets increase up to five for employees with ten years’ experience.

The drawing will be held at 2 p.m. on Sept. 15 at Aegis Living Corporate Headquarters in Redmond. The event will be streamed live to some 2,000 Aegis Living employees across the Western United States.

“This is going to be super exciting,” said Aegis Living President Judy Meleliat.

The Aegis Living lottery drawing is only open to the Aegis Living employees, at the 30 assisted-living communities it operates in Washington, California and Nevada.

“These people are my work family,” Clark said. “Maybe this is my way of changing the world, one employee at a time.”

The employee lottery is part of ELIP (Employee Lifestyle Improvement Program) that seeks to recognize employee loyalty and retain the best employees.
