Kirkland resident Robert Francis Pierce, 41, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison by U.S. District Judge Marsha J. Pechman for receiving child pornography. Federal investigators using Peer to Peer file sharing software tracked child pornography to Pierce’s internet address during May of last year, according to court documents.
When Pierce’s apartment was searched in August police found two computers with more than 600 images of child porn. Pierce, who was convicted for child rape and child molestation, used Peer-to-Peer software to obtain the material.
He told officers he looked at child pornography because he is bored and finds it thrilling, according court papers.
