Crews worked to install new sections of the water main under Third Street near the Heathman Hotel and completed the water main in this section with the installation of a new fire hydrant this week. Water main work will continue this week on Third Street in the northbound direction to the crossing at Kirkland Square. As a result, the section of sidewalk between Park Lane and Central Avenue on the east side will be closed to pedestrians for approximately three weeks. Next week, new electrical vaults will be installed under Third Street. Also, the construction team has been working with the city on a proposal to install some temporary lighting along the Street.
