A dock fire and rain in the 8200 block of N.E. Juanita Drive snarled traffic on the main arterial during the afternoon rush hour commute Thursday. Fire trucks were forced to park on the curvy two lane road in an attempt to get hoses down a steep driveway to the dock fire. The Kirkland fire department responded to the call at about 5:20 p.m. When they arrived the land portion of the dock was on fire and some parts of the land. But the fire was quickly contained. The incident was investigated by King County and deemed to be accidental.
