Kirkland seeks Planning Commission applicants by July 31

The City of Kirkland seeks applicants for a position on its Planning Commission that has been vacated. The vacancy is for the remainder of an unexpired term ending March 31, 2011. Interested citizens are invited to apply for an appointment and must be 18 years of age and reside within the city limits of Kirkland. Completed applications must be received by the City Clerk prior to 4 p.m. on Friday, July 31.
The Planning Commission is a seven-member board that advises the City Council on matters relating to land use regulations, including the City’s Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Map. Planning Commission meetings are held the second and fourth Thursdays of each month at 7 p.m. (unless otherwise noted.) Applications are available at the information counter at City Hall, 123 Fifth Avenue; by telephone at 425-587-3190; or on the City’s Web site at www.ci.kirkland.wa.us.
