Hutchison to march in Kirkland's July Fourth parade

To help kick off the Fourth of July spirit in Kirkland, King County executive candidate Susan Hutchison will march in the Old Fashioned Downtown parade Saturday.

A former KIRO-TV news anchor, Hutchison will march with parade group No. 46.

The community parade starts at Market Street and Central Way in Kirkland at noon. The theme is "Red, White, Blue and Green All Over" to reduce, reuse and recycle.

Other events during the day include a children's parade, hat making and face painting at 10 a.m. at Marina Park, a picnic with food vendors from 1-5 p.m., music and a fireworks display at 10 p.m., Marina Park.
