Police raided an undisclosed Kirkland location in the 700 block of Eighth Avenue Thursday, which was part of a year-long, multi-city investigation into alleged brothels.
A 43-year-old woman was also arrested Thursday in connection with the investigation that included money laundering and promoting prostitution. The woman, who calls herself "Rainbow Love," has not yet been charged in the case. The woman is said to be the owner of other affiliated locations that were raided in Seattle, called the Moon Temple and Sacred Temple. Police served the warrant at the woman's home in Marysville, which was also a licensed business similar to that of the other locations.
In all, police interviewed and released over 20 people who were at a suspected brothel during the raids.
