Carjacking in North Rose Hill

Kirkland Police are investigating a Wednesday night carjacking in the city's North Rose Hill neighborhood.
According to investigators, the incident occurred on Feb. 4 just after nightfall, around 6:55 p.m. A 16-year-old male was parking his vehicle on the 9000 block of 132nd Avenue Northeast when a white man in his thirties approached him. The suspect pointed a handgun at the teenage victim and ordered him out of the vehicle, a black 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser. The suspect was last seen driving the stolen vehicle southbound on 132nd Avenue and the victim was spared injury.
As of 3 p.m. Thursday, Kirkland Police have not located the stolen vehicle, with WA license plates 773YNJ. All surrounding law enforcement agencies have been notified and the investigation is ongoing.
