Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWIT) in Kirkland is hosting an expanded information session from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in West 204F on Aug. 27 to provide more information on more than 100 classes starting in late September.

“The variety of programs is fantastic,” said Dr. Kevin McCarthy, vice president of instruction. “Our students come here for practical, purposeful hands-on experience. They have a solid future when they leave.”

LWIT offers certificates and associates degrees in more than 44 programs of study from multimedia design and production to baking. LWIT also offers three bachelor’s degrees in the growing fields of applied design, public health, transportation and logistics. Students can earn a meaningful, skills-based credential in as little as two quarters or a more focused bachelor’s degree in 16 quarters.
