U.S. Rep. Jay Inslee will discuss his new book, Apollo’s Fire at 7 p.m. at Parkplace Books in Kirkland on Aug. 21.

In the book, Inslee and Bracken Hendricks chronicle real stories of Americans who are creating technologies, building companies and leading community efforts regarding energy use. The two call for a radical transformation of America’s energy infrastructure that will create millions of “green collar” jobs, protect the environment and make the nation more secure.
