Kirkland Police Department

Between Wednesday, July 16, and Tuesday, July 22, the Kirkland Police Department reported 309 traffic violations, 27 noise complaints, 24 thefts, 24 car accidents, 22 alarm calls and 20 assaults (16 domestic violence). At least 59 people were arrested.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 16

9:17 a.m. Police and Fire personnel responded to reports of a fire at a building on the 8700 block of 122nd Ave. North East.

SATURDAY, JULY 19

2:43 a.m. After failing to yield to oncoming vehicles while turning from Central Way into Lakeshore Plaza, a 26-year-old female motorist was stopped by police. She was arrested for DUI after she refused a portable breathalyzer test.

6:00 p.m. A 45-year-old man reportedly tried to pass a forged check to a business on the 12400 block of N.E. 124th Street. Business management claim the same man has attempted to cash the check there on at least three other occasions.

SUNDAY, JULY 20

4:00 p.m. Responding to a disturbance on the 7400 block of 127th Ave. N.E., police arrested a 20-year-old Granite Falls man on an outstanding warrant. He was transported to Evergreen Hospital for minor injuries sustained when he punched the side of the residence.

11:11 p.m. Police arrested a 19-year-old Auburn man for obstruction and outstanding warrants on the 1800 block of 4th Street. Police were summoned on a malicious mischief call when the man and two others followed a female on 18th Avenue.
