EvergreenHealth Primary Stroke Center awarded advanced certification from The Joint Commission
EvergreenHealth today announced its Primary Stroke Center has maintained its prestigious advanced certification from The Joint Commission and meets the highest national standards for stroke care for the seventh consecutive year. The Primary Stroke Center has upheld advanced certification since November 2007 and demonstrates EvergreenHealth’s commitment to achieving long-term success and continuously improving outcomes for stroke patients.
“The Primary Stroke Center’s tradition of earning this well-deserved recognition is a reflection of the hard work of so many across our organization,” said EvergreenHealth CEO Bob Malte. “These consistent certifications from the Joint Commission underscore our endless commitment to providing safe and high quality care through programs and practices that set the standard for patient experience and positive outcomes.”
Joint Commission experts evaluated EvergreenHealth for compliance with the requirements for The Joint Commission’s Disease-Specific Care Certification program, including patient care, performance measures and clinical outcomes and practices.
“The Joint Commission commends EvergreenHealth for successfully undertaking this challenge to elevate its standard of care and instill confidence in the community it serves,” said Jean Range, M.S., R.N., C.P.H.Q. executive director, Disease-Specific Care Certification, The Joint Commission.
Along with the recent Joint Commission certification, EvergreenHealth’s Primary Stroke Center ranks in the top 10 percent in the nation for stroke treatment for the fifth year in a row by Healthgrades, the nation’s leading independent health care ratings company.
