I’m writing to encourage everyone to vote yes for the Lake Washington School District bond on the April 22 ballot.
The eastside is experiencing a fast pace of population growth and there soon won’t be enough classroom space for all of the students. More portables and double-shifting students are not solutions to overcrowded schools.
Let’s replace inefficient, out-of-date structures and build more schools to accommodate current and future students. Quality schools are a true asset to a community.
Let’s pay it forward. Our parents and grandparents provided schools for us and now it’s our turn to provide schools for the students today and tomorrow.
Please join me in voting yes.
Jodi Linstead, Kirkland
