Public Health-Seattle & King County has approved the reopening of the swimming area at Kirkland’s Juanita Beach Park.

The area was closed on June 6 following results of water samples that showed high levels of bacteria. Juanita Beach is regularly monitored through King County’s Swim Beach Monitoring Program (http://dnr.metrokc.gov/wlr/waterres/swimbeach/).

Updates regarding the status of Juanita Beach swim area are posted to the city’s Web site at www.ci.kirkland.wa.us or available by calling (425) 587-3900.
