Houghton Community Council to hold public meeting in Kirkland
January 16, 2013 · Updated 2:50 PM
The Kirkland City Council adopted Ordinance 4399 on Jan. 2 pertaining to nonconforming density in multi-family zones.
The ordinance allows remodeling or redevelopment of multi-family structures with nonconforming density, including the expansion of those structures, consistent with existing zoning, without bringing the density into conformance.
The Houghton Community Council will hold a public meeting at 7 p.m. on Jan. 28 in the City Hall Council Chamber, 123 5th Ave., to consider giving final approval to allow the new regulation to take effect within Houghton's jurisdiction.
