Expect traffic delays during Kirkland tree lighting on Saturday

Commuters should expect traffic delays due to the Holiday Tree Lighting to be held on Saturday, Dec. 1.

The following roads will be closed and detours will be in place from 12:30-9 p.m.:

· Lake Street South between Central Way and 2nd Avenue South

· Kirkland Avenue between Lakeshore Plaza Drive and Main Street

The annual event will include the tree lighting, a visit from Santa, live music, bonfires, gingerbread house competition, and other holiday activities. For event information, go to www.explorekirkland.com (select “Events”).
