Sustainability Education Series coming this fall

The Kirkland Sustainability Education Series is presented by the city during September and October to expand Kirkland resident’s knowledge on the subject. The series will tackle issues through a variety of classes, tours and hands-on workshops.

Each class runs from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The classes are: Sept. 12 - Food for Thought: Making Informed Choices on Eating and Composting; Sept. 18 - The What and Where of Recycling; Sept. 26 - Rainwater Harvesting for Your Yard; and Oct. 3: Creating an Energy Efficient Home.
