Kirkland police detectives are searching for an armed man who fled on foot after robbing the Wells Fargo branch in Kirkland's Totem Lake neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon.
Detectives are releasing few details as they investigate the bank robbery that occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the bank, located at 12560 120th Ave. N.E.
"A male went into the bank, implied a weapon and left on foot," said Kirkland Sgt. Rob Saloum, noting that detectives advised him not to release any further information at this time.
Saloum said this is the second bank that was hit in Kirkland in the past week. A woman also robbed the U.S. Bank branch in north Juanita on Friday. The Seattle FBI is handling that case.
