Vacancy available on Kirkland’s Salary Commission; apply by March 15

The City of Kirkland has extended the recruitment for an adult vacancy on its Salary Commission.
The Salary Commission sets the salaries of the Mayor and City Council members. The commission is made up of three citizens who are appointed for staggered terms by the mayor with the approval of the council.
The appointment for the current vacancy ends on March 31, 2015. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and reside within the city limits of Kirkland. Applicants must not be an officer, official, or employee of the city, or an immediate family member.
Completed applications must be received by the City Clerk prior to 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2012. To learn more about the Salary Commission and to obtain the community service application, go to www.kirklandwa.gov, visit Kirkland City Hall, or call the City Clerk’s Office at 425-587-3190.
Adult vacancies are also available on the Parking Advisory Board and the Tourism Development Committee.
