Commuters should expect traffic delays due to the annual 12K’s of Christmas Holiday Run to be held at Heritage Park in Kirkland on Dec. 18. Waverly Way, between Market Street and 2nd Street West, will close from 9 a.m. until noon. All other affected roadways will close from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. or when the last runner passes.

The 12K’s of Christmas Holiday Run hosts 2,500 athletes during the event which includes a Reindeer Run for kids, 5K run/walk and 12K run/walk. The event supports the Sleep Train Foster Kids non-profit program. Program volunteers will be onsite to accept toy donations.
